There was a distraction burglary in Frampton Cotterell on 13th June, and two others in Emerson’s Green. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s. He claimed to be a plumber checking the boiler and a gas man.

The local police beat manager reminds us if you are not sure who is at your door, don’t open it. Check their identity by calling the organisation they are claiming to be from – gas, electricity, water, police. Do this using the telephone numbers listed in your local director or on the organisation’s website, not telephone numbers provided by the caller. If you are suspicious, call the police.
