The superfast broadband rollout in South Gloucestershire has left pockets of poor service across our rural areas.
At last week’s South Gloucestershire Council meeting, Claire Young and Charfield councillor John O’Neill challenged the new South Glos Cabinet Member responsible for the rollout to look at new ways of helping people stuck with a slow service, including through something called a “Local Body Partnership”. Small communities are often faced with astronomical quotations for community-led schemes and need some financial help to make it happen. We will be meeting the Cabinet Member at the end of August – if you’re facing this problem, get in touch.
