When ‘Floral Friends of Frampton’ volunteers won the Britain in Bloom top ‘Gold Pennant Award’ last year for their huge efforts to brighten up Frampton Cotterell Parish with flowers, the judges stated that ‘The wall along Woodend Road needs maintenance to enhance it’ was a priority area for improvement.
We would like to thank local builder Mike Hemmings and his colleagues Lee and Scott for carrying out the much needed repair work and South Glos Streetcare for organising the traffic lights and safety cones. The funding for the repair was covered by grants made by Ecotricity (Community Benefit Scheme from the Alveston Wind Farm on the Frampton Cotterell/Alveston Parish boundary) plus funding from local South Glos Councillors Dave and Pat Hockey via the Member Awarded Funding scheme.
We hope you agree the wall and the flowers both look lovely now!
