If you’ve passed through Henfield recently, you may have noticed water running down Ruffet Road from the Henfield Road end. This was reported to your Focus Team by one of the Westerleigh Parish Councillors, who had been told by Bristol Water that it was a blocked drain and the responsibility of South Glos Council. Investigations by Street Care found no blocked drain.
On Monday the Parish Councillor reported that the problem had worsened over the weekend and met a Street Care officer, Bristol Water official and Claire Young on site. By this point it was clear there must be a leaking pipe. On Thursday the short spur of road on one side of the green triangle at the Henfield Road end of Ruffet Road was closed for work to fix it, expected to take two days.
Update: It’s now expected to take up to five days due to difficulties encountered on site.
