Redrow Homes have submitted plans to build 126 homes around Yate FC’s ground on land north of Iron Acton Way and east of Dyer’s Lane.

They are very similar to the plans that generated overwhelming opposition from residents at a drop-in your Focus Team attended in 2016. This is part of the area identified by the Conservative council for up to 2,000 homes in the draft Joint Spatial Plan, but that plan has not been finalised. It won’t even be considered by Planning Inspectors to decide if it is a sound plan until later this year.
