How we deal with our rubbish and recycling – and how we reduce it – is a hot topic. South Glos Council is currently carrying out two consultations on waste.

The council want your views on their draft Waste Strategy for 2020 onwards. They want to focus on what’s known as a ‘circular economy’ for waste. You can find out what this means for you and make your comments via the consultation web page until Friday 27th September.

• 02 July (Tuesday) at Waitrose, Chipping Sodbury between 10:00 – 18:00
• 04 July (Thursday) at Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke between 10:00 – 14:00
• 30 July (Tuesday) at Winterbourne High Street, between 10:00 – 14:00
• 01 August (Thursday) Thornbury Market, between 10:00 – 13:30
• 08 August (Thursday) at Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke between 10:00 – 14:00
• 14 August (Wednesday) at Downend High Street (Sainsbury’s) between 10:00 – 14:00
• 28 August (Wednesday) at Yate Shopping Centre between 10:00 – 14:00

The council is also consulting on its Waste Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This aims to give developers guidance on how to make sure householders have space for bins and boxes and collection vehicles have access.
