New test options for BS37 8 residents

by Claire Young on 9 February, 2021

If your postcode starts with “BS37 8” and you haven’t yet gone for a Covid test as part of the community surge testing being done in response to the discovery of a new strain, there are now new options that may be more convenient for you.

From Wednesday 10th February, a Mobile Testing Unit will be located at Yate Common, Westerleigh Road, BS37 8RZ. It will be open from 9am to 6pm seven days a week.

People who live or work in specific postcodes, are over 16 and do not have symptoms of Covid-19, are encouraged to get a one-off PCR test at one of the five MTUs rolled out to support community surge testing in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

You can also “Collect and Drop” tests at:

  • Shireway Community Centre, Shire Way, Yate BS37 8YS (opening on Wednesday 10 February)
  • Westerleigh Village Hall, BS37 8QL (opening on Thursday 11 February)

For more information, see this press release.
