Time is running out to have your say in the first of the public consultations on the new South Glos Local Plan. The deadline is next Monday, 1st March 2021.
The new Local Plan will shape our area for the next 15 years. This consultation is on the Phase 1 – Issues and Approaches document. It covers the issues the council thinks the final plan will need to address and suggests possible approaches to delivering new homes and jobs and tackling climate change. It looks at the building blocks and potential guiding principles to shape future growth.
There are no individual development sites or detailed proposals for growth in this document because we don’t yet know how many new homes and jobs need to be planned for across the West of England. It’s still important to have your say on this Phase 1 document though, because what people say at this stage will affect what is proposed for our area at the next stage.
