On Wednesday Tristan raised the recent traffic chaos in Iron Acton and the forthcoming drainage repairs at the meeting of the South Glos Scrutiny Commission on Wednesday night.

The Cabinet member for Regeneration, Environment & Strategic Infrastructure, who is responsible for transport issues, was at the meeting to present an update report. Tristan asked that officers liaise with both the parish council and the Neighbourhood Policing Team to discuss what measures could be used to avoid a recurrence of the speeding traffic along the high street and Nibley Lane once the repair work starts in the summer holiday. The Cabinet Member agreed to speak to the Head of StreetCare and other SGC officers to initiate those conversations with the parish council and local police to look at what can be done differently.
