From Monday, the Nationwide branch in Yate will be closing on Mondays and Wednesdays. It will still open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. You can find out more information on their website.

We know from the closure of HSBC in the town last year that not everyone is able to bank online, so it’s welcome that this branch isn’t closing completely. According to TimeOut, 5,355 bank branches have closed or are planned to close since the start of 2015. If you have difficulty accessing a bank, it’s worth checking whether you can do everyday banking like paying in cash or cheques at a Post Office.
