Bloor Homes are holding an exhibition next Friday on their plans for building on the land east of Roundways, Coalpit Heath.

The exhibition will be held from 1pm to 7pm on Friday 7th June in Coalpit Heath Village Hall (aka The Miners). The boards will be available on their website following the event.

Sadly they did not notify the local ward councillors. We found out this week when the flyers were delivered to residents near the site in Coalpit Heath, too late to print and deliver our own leaflets. The impacts will be felt more widely so please do let your friends and neighbours know about this event so there is a good turnout.

The land east of Roundways was identified for development in the The West of England Joint Spatial Plan (JSP) but that has not yet been considered by the Planning Inspectors, let alone adopted by the four councils. As we reported previously, there will be public hearing sessions in July & the autumn, which your Focus Team will be attending, as will the VALID action group.

We made enquiries about the survey work that has been going in in recent weeks and received this statement from the agent via council officers.
