Redrow Homes have submitted revised plans for land around Yate Town Football Club, reducing the number of homes from 126 to 118. You have until Friday 17 July to submit new comments, by going to this page and clicking on the “Make a comment” button.

Cotswold Homes also plan to submit an application for more houses to the east of this site. Claire recently joined two residents in a socially distanced meeting with representatives of the developers.

Local people are concerned the Redrow application could open up land north of the site for further development. The revised Design and Access Statement makes reference to this possibility in paragraph 1.18.

With Newland Homes looking to build 89 homes on land east of North Road, this all adds up to a significant amount of development proposed for Engine Common.
